Animal ID: D120347Baby Rio (male)

Chihuahua Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Submissive
Health: Vaccinations Current

Rio! What a party this little boy is, just like an Olympic celebration! Even his coat is having a party! Rio is only just now about eight weeks old and is already about 10 pounds He will probably be closer to 20 pounds at most is what our thoughts are. Being such a young thing, Rio thinks every human, cat, dog, you name it, loves him as much as he loves them. He can be a little much at first for an older dog but he is learning with their corrections what is acceptable. Not noisy at all unless he needs something, he is even quiet in his crate through the night and during nap times. He is doing well on house training but will ... (Read More)need his people to continue with his good work. He does have submissive/excited leakage which is not unusual for his age so he should outgrow it. Rio lives in a house with a one year old and does great. However, due to his small size, we are looking for a home where any children he would be around are five or older. If you are interest in meeting and adopting Rio, read on or go to the Adoption Process page of our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org. All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - and is found under Resources. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live. Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records. Animal ID: D120346Baby Rosemarie (female)

Miniature Pinscher Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Rosemarie's name is bigger than she is! Her name is sweet just like she is, and it also happens to be the street where she was found as a stray. That worked out very nicely. Rosemarie is a timid little thing and a definite cuddler, only four months old and about 10 pounds. She likes other dogs, but it's almost as if she believes she is above their sometimes childish behavior. In other words, she is a bit of a priss. Rosemarie is great all night in a crate and during scheduled nap times. She is doing well with house training and her only issue is submissive piddling which will probably go away with maturity and once she is settled in ... (Read More)her forever home. She does not yet walk well on a leash as it is apparently a new thing for her and her new people would need to continue training her on this to show her what great adventures await her once she is leashed. We are looking for a home where she will not b around children under five years old. If you think this is the girl for you, please read on or go to the Adoption Process pag of our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org. All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. Animal ID: D120332Sammy (male)

Scottish Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

To see a video of Sammy please go to: https://www.facebook.com/arline.correa/videos/930475977067179/ ds.Sammy has a great story to tell and if only we could communicate with dogs we would love to hear the whole thing. Sammy was lost by someone and on the loose for at least a month but his wonderful foster mom was able to convince him it was safer to come home with her. Sammy is living the life now. In the words of his foster mom: 'Sammy is a big sweetheart! He loves dog walks and gives little baby kisses. He's opened up so much more. He likes to lay with me in the early mornings. He's become more outgoing, food motivated and ... (Read More)likes to sit up on his back legs for a treat.' Sammy is a wonderful young boy with the most interesting hair ever - don't let his hair color fool you! He's not old! He simply has black wiry hair with white frosting on the tips and white markings. He gets along great with other dogs, small ones especially. He is not a Velcro dog but does love the companionship of humans. He would make a great companion for anyone that has a nice quiet home to offer him. Let us know if you are interested in meeting and potentially adopting him. You can find the link for our online adoption application and more information about how to go about meeting/adopting him on the Adoption Process page of our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org. Or simply read on here. All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing.
